Before a vessel arrives at your port facility, you should know the vessel’s estimated time of arrival (ETA), when work (discharge and load out) will begin, and time of departure (ETD). You enter this information and other vessel visit details in the N4 client before the vessel arrives.
For example, a vessel (the Far East Caller) will arrive at your port facility in the near future. You already know the vessel’s estimated time of arrival (ETA) and departure (ETD), as well as other vessel visit details. (We will assume that this information is already entered in the N4 client.)
In addition, we will assume that you have planned the vessel’s discharge and have preplanned and sequenced the load projections. Based on these plans, you have a general idea of which cranes will work the vessel and which berth location will be used.
With this in mind, you begin by verifying that the vessel call information is correctly recorded in N4.
To verify vessel call details:
Select Vessel Vessel Schedule.
XPS opens the Vessel Schedule window.
For more information about this window, see the manual XPS Vessel Planning and Control.
Double-click the vessel entry.
In the Vessel Call Detail window, verify the accuracy of the vessel visit, schedule, and berth information. The information in this window is read-only.
For more information on the Vessel Call Detail window, see the manual Navis N4: Basics.
If required, edit the information in the N4 client (N4 client Operations

For more information on editing vessel visit information, see the N4 online help.
N4 shares ETA, ETD, and Length information with the Advanced Berth Scheduler Option (on page 1). To ensure the accuracy of the berth plan, make sure this information is correct.
